The Japanese government has decided to impose a huge fine on people who are into the business of modifying gaming consoles as it believes that it gives rise to unfair trading practices.
The fine has an amount of 5 million Yen if you are found retailing keys of a product or selling mod tools. You could even be facing a jail term, with or without the fine, of up to five years. The move has reaped benefits immediately and the selling of such tools have been completely shut down.
