New packaging material for Samsung
In an effort to minimize the use of plastics, Samsung has announced that it will use sustainable materials for packing its phones, tablets, accessories, and appliances. Instead of plastic trays, new devices will be held by a pulp mold.
The chargers will be given a matte finish to avoid the need for protective plastic film and the large array of appliances offered by the company will be wrapped in recycled plastics or bioplastics instead of single-use plastics. It has also ensured that it only uses fibers that are certified by international environmental organizations. The electronic giant has indeed, taken a great step towards being eco-friendly.
