This side scrolling motorcycle based racing game published by Konami and Ultra Games is very much a precursor to modern games like the Trials series. Competing against a time limit, you need to race through each level using various ramps and jumps that adorn the stages. The angle of the bike needs to be controlled to land jumps perfectly and correct your position. The controls seem a little difficult at first, but once you begin to understand how to land jumps and time nitro’s to boost across gaps, the game becomes great fun to play.
Despite the simple visuals, the levels are extremely well designed and challenge your brain to work out how to traverse certain stages and sections of the tracks successfully. Classic Konami music overlayed with decently recreated motorbike sounds add to the experience well. Timing is everything and every jump and landing counts when you are chasing the lap records in this well presented and classic Game Boy gem.
